Training & Facilitation

We have a strong team of curriculum developers and trainers that work across sectors and at different stages of a program. We can support our clients in designing targeted curriculum, revising existing materials, developing training and training-of-trainers’ manuals and resources, and facilitating workshops and group processes.

 

We specialize in adult learning techniques and training methodology. We are well-suited for populations with low literacy and numeracy. We use highly interactive, participant-centered processes that cater to multiple learning styles.  We develop and leverage visual tools like pictures, non-traditional learning methods such as discussion groups, gamification, edutainment methods, with the aim of making the presentation of complex information easier to comprehend, more attractive, and effective in reinforcing messages to participants. We make sure that our work is locally relevant and responsive to cultural context and the needs of the target population.

 

In an environment affected by COVID-19, we have strengthened our virtual facilitation and workshop delivery skills in a participatory and user-centric way.

 

Our training & facilitation processes may include any of the following:

  •  Work with our clients to identify facilitation and/or learning goals

  • Conduct in-country (in-field) consultation

  • Outline the training curriculum, and approach to measure success

  • Outline the facilitation processes and methods

  • Develop the training curriculum including a facilitator guide

  • Conduct training of trainers, field test and finalize the curriculum

  • Conduct the facilitation and write a facilitation report including outcomes, commitments and recommendations
